DIY Revenge

I was asked to use more paint and now I have the space to film I decided to take up the challenge. The story (such as it is) is Davina coming home and getting drugged. She wakes up chained and blindfolded. What she can't see is the chain attached to the large container of paint.
As with most things this would have been easier with two people! Creeping up behind yourself and putting a cloth over your mouth is not easy. Add to that chaining yourself up whilst blindfolded.
Then there is the added danger of going outside dressed up for the first bit. Then carrying everything into the garage still dressed.
I must admit to being really excited with this as I had no idea what to expect from the paint. |And I really was blindfolded so I had no idea of the coverage. In fact the first I knew of it was when I watched the video!

As you can see the coverage was great. In fact the messiest I have got for a long time!
Then of course I had to strip off and get back inside the house without being seen.

I think this image would be difficult to explain to any neighbours!

Once washed I then had to spend a couple of hours cleaning up all the paint. Dragging the rubber floor out and hosing it down then washing the clothes.
The trouble was I wasn't happy with that so I put on some of my wife's clothes and went out to finish off. Now I pretend I don't want to get messy but I wouldn't be happy if I didn't. I then get paint on the skirt and my suede heels. It's difficult to see in the picture but I was so tempted to go further. However I resisted and hoped the clothes would clean easily.

I jumped in the shower just as I was and was relieved to find the paint wash off easily. I had to take a brush to the shoes though. A quick dry and the clothes were as good as new.
A great day.

DIY Workshop - Episode 3

Now it was time to get even messier.
For this film I went and bought new clothes. Unfortunately the pictures and video don't do them justice. The blouse is pink and white stripes whilst the trousers are a pale pink.

The underwear is matching pink and white.

This time two products on display are metallic paint and instant nail glue. Neither of which I have used.

Gloves are definitely going to be important here.

To protect the work surface a rag is required so I cut up a nice new t-shirt.

Having glued the edges of the two planks I add a little more glue on top.

Unfortunately I forget (Not really) and sit down on the glue to demonstrate the paint.

All goes well to start with.

But oh dear, I seem to have got paint on my nice new clothes.

Soon I start to spread the paint everywhere.

Ripping open the blouse I even paint my nice bra.

When i try to stand I find myself stuck to the work bench.

The only way to release myself is use a knife to cut off the belt and right down both legs of the trousers.

You can see the trousers stuck to the boards.

The bra and knickers got cut and ripped too.

The black paint took forever to get off as I couldn't find any solvent to touch it. Eventually I used WD40 which then left me covered in oil. That came off with washing up liquid.

DIY Workshop - Episode 2

This episode sees Davina tackle a messier subject. Gloss paint.
This time Davina has on an expensive velour suit. Not particularly my favourite clothing but it was the perfect colour for this. Along with the suit was a white blouse, black undies and black heels.

Because the paint is difficult to clean off even your skin Davina decided to wear gloves.

On with the paint.

Oh dear. That looks like spots of paint on the suit.

This spill was accidental as the gloves made the tin very slippery.

I think we can safely say the suit is now ruined.

Especially after wiping the paint off the board onto my sleeve.

And cleaning the brush on the jacket.
